The Suffolk Women's History Network is a new entity that aims to build upon the work of the Ipswich Women's Festival Group (1995-2022), which highlighted the achievements of local women through the Women's History Trail, increased the number of blue Plaques celebrating women, and raised awareness of the struggle for the vote of women.

The group intends on expanding its reach beyond the borders of Ipswich to instead encompass the entirety of Suffolk and its wonderfully diverse inhabitants through bi-monthly forums/meetings taking place across the county. 

The first official group meeting will take place at The Hold (Ipswich, Suffolk) on the 19th of September 2024 as part of the group's official launch event.
