The Ipswich Women's Festival Group organised a quiz and tea to take place at Arlington's Restaurant, Museum Street, Ipswich on Sunday 5th March 2017. This was a fund raising event but also a celebration of the group's success in helping to bring about the installation of four new Blue Plaques commemorating four remarkable Ipswich women. The group was delighted that the event was attended by over 70 people, of all ages. Joy Bounds gave a brief talk about the new Blue Plaques and the quiz was produced and presented with great gusto by Cllr Carole Jones and the theme was women. At the interval afternoon tea was served. The day also included a raffle which benefited from very generous donations of prizes from a variety of people and organisations. The IWFH had some very positive feedback and were very happy that it turned out to be such an entertaining and enjoyable afternoon - there was even singing.
